Private Tours F.A.Q.

Can we take the train to Neuschwanstein?

Yes, the train is the cheapest way to get to Füssen. However, the train is often extremely crowded, many people have to stand for 2+ hours and switching trains is the norm. The tragic side of commuting via train is that you will miss the wonderful Bavarian sites (lakes, rivers, villages, forts, caves etc) en route to Neuschwanstein Castle. Half a day of traveling to and from the castle and only seeing the one castle in the end is a major drawback in our opinion.

Is there a lot of walking? How active is this tour?

The tours include walking and you should be able to walk up and down unpaved roads. The steepest of which is at Neuschwanstein but offer you the choice of walking and taking pictures or horse drawn carriage going up.

*If you have special health conditions or are handy-capable please let us know ahead of time so we can organize the tour accordingly.

What to bring?

We recommend you bring a camera (there will be many great photo-ops), 50 - 100 Euros for delicious bavarian food, postcards, souvenirs and gifts for friends and family (or yourself)! Questions! We have great guides who will tell you all about the site you visit, feel free to come with questions.

What is there to eat?

Depending on the tour we have a lunch spot picked out, usually a traditional Bavarian restaurant. Expenses for Lunch are not included on the tour.

*If you are vegetarian, vegan, or have special dietary requirements, please let us know ahead of time.

Internet and charging?

We provide a mobile Wi-Fi Internet hotspot, and USB charging in the car. Bring a USB charging cable and keep your device charged the entire day!

*Internet dependent on connectivity and only in Germany up to 1 GB per tour.

What are the booking surcharges?

The booking surcharges are from Stripe and PeekPro who make the booking process as easy as possible for our customers. Security of your personal information is of utmost importance to us and they provide this. If you would like to circumvent these costs we can do the charges directly to your credit card. We would need your credit card information. Please contact us directly.

Can we change the route of our private tour?

Yes, it's your tour! We suggest our route as it brings you to the most places and stops in one day. However, it is your tour and we cater to your wishes. Please let us know in advance if you wish to stop elsewhere and we'll plan it in. Most people sleep on the way back as it is a fun filled day!

We try and keep you as hydrated as possible thought the day. The car will have complementary bottles of water (uncarbonated) for the day.

What should I wear?

Depending on the weather and season we recommend walking shoes or trainers, comfy shorts or pants, a polo and a sweater or jacket. We have umbrellas if it should rain.

Check the weather for Neuschwanstein, Eagles Nest, Salzburg a few days before your tour.
